Requirements
Must:
- Over 5 years of experience in product security, application security, or security architecture.
- Proven capability to manage complex and high-pressure incidents with confidence and effectiveness.
- Background in Incident Response is essential, but we also value experience in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering that can be applied to Security.
- Strong scripting skills (in Python, Go, or PowerShell) and familiarity with automation platforms.
- Deep comprehension of cloud-native infrastructure (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure) and incident response in containerized environments (Kubernetes, Docker).
- In-depth knowledge of incident handling lifecycles (NIST 800-61) and understanding of attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures (MITRE ATT&CK).
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary Incident Commander for significant cybersecurity incidents, facilitating technical coordination and managing teams to mitigate business impact.
- Transition from reactive response to proactive measures by developing automation scripts and Security as Code methodologies to address recurring threats.
- Improve threat detection systems by converting logs into actionable data pipelines, collaborating with engineering teams to enhance monitoring capabilities.
- Conduct thorough After-Action Reviews focusing on root cause analysis, implementing architectural modifications instead of merely updating policies.
- Enhance integration between Security and DevOps by refining connections between our security stack (SIEM, EDR) and infrastructure tools (CI/CD, cloud providers).
- Participate in a structured on-call rotation to ensure reliable command coverage and swift remediation outside of business hours.
