Requirements
Must:
- Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or a closely related field.
- Over 8 years of experience in designing RADAR systems, encompassing hardware, firmware, and signal processing.
- Profound knowledge of RF and microwave engineering as well as digital signal processing (DSP).
- Proficient in DSP simulation, modeling, and validation tools such as MATLAB, Python, or C++.
- Practical experience with embedded systems and real-time RADAR data processing.
- Familiarity with sensor fusion techniques, integrating RADAR with LiDAR, cameras, and IMUs.
- Demonstrated success in leading technical teams and delivering high-impact projects.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a capacity to thrive in a dynamic, innovative environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and enhancement of high-resolution RADAR systems for autonomous perception, with a comprehensive understanding of current RADAR technologies and the trade-offs involved.
- Establish and drive the technical requirements, system architecture, and performance metrics.
- Oversee performance characterization, covering electrical, RF, mechanical, and thermal aspects.
- Manage the productization cycle, including prototypes, design validation, module verification, and regulatory certifications for large-scale production.
- Collaborate closely with hardware, firmware, and signal processing teams to ensure seamless integration of RADAR sensors into the autonomy perception framework.
- Enhance real-time RADAR processing pipelines to achieve ultra-low latency and high precision in variable environments.
- Assess and implement cutting-edge signal processing methods, including MIMO, beamforming, and sensor fusion.
- Work alongside AI/ML teams to create and deploy deep learning models for RADAR-centric perception tasks.
- Mentor and inspire a multidisciplinary team of engineers, promoting innovation and technical excellence.
- Drive research and development initiatives to maintain leadership in RADAR technology trends and advancements.
- Coordinate with external partners, suppliers, and research institutions to leverage state-of-the-art technologies.
