Requirements
Must:
- BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in software engineering with a focus on backend services, APIs, or data-intensive applications; strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and systems.
- Familiarity with large language model (LLM) concepts such as retrieval, grounding, prompt/agent design, function/tool integration, evaluation, safety measures, and cost/latency optimization.
- Proficient in modern software delivery methodologies (version control, CI/CD, testing, observability) and knowledgeable about cloud-native services and container technologies.
- Strong collaboration skills with product and business teams; excellent written and verbal communication.
- A proactive mindset focused on shipping, learning, and iterating; comfortable navigating fast-paced technological advancements with incomplete information.
- For Senior level: proven track record of owning services or platform components, leading end-to-end cross-service initiatives, and enhancing reliability and operational performance.
Responsibilities
- Develop features and services across the AI stack, including orchestration, retrieval and grounding, prompt/agent logic, evaluation and safety measures, and observability.
- Create effective data processing and integration pipelines to support the development of high-quality AI applications and analytics capabilities.
- Contribute to design documentation, code reviews, testing, and operational guidelines to assure reliability, maintainability, and resilience.
- Collaborate with product and business partners to establish requirements, iterate rapidly, and evaluate outcomes using clear success indicators.
- Implement telemetry and evaluation methodologies to assess quality, safety, latency, and cost; refine performance through data-driven insights.
- Adhere to responsible AI practices regarding security, privacy, compliance, and safety in partnership with governance teams.
- Engage in on-call and incident response duties as needed; promote post-incident enhancements.
- Share insights through demonstrations and documentation; support AI literacy and capability-building throughout the organization.
