Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
- Masters degree in electrical engineering or a related field with at least 3 years of professional experience.
- PhD in electrical engineering or a related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of professional experience.
- Solid grasp of fundamental electrical circuit principles, including analog circuits, RLC tank circuits, transmission line theory, and switching power supplies.
- Proficiency in hands-on electronics troubleshooting with a capacity to collaborate across teams.
- Familiarity with scripting languages for data analysis purposes (such as Matlab or Python).
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with hardware designers to innovate next-generation control electronics for Rivian vehicles.
- Create and validate electromagnetic models to forecast circuit performance within vehicles in real-world settings.
- Conduct assessments of ECU and vehicle design tolerances in our EMC laboratories.
- Formulate systems engineering models focusing on EMI source/victim interactions in vehicles to enhance electrical and mechanical integration and wiring harness designs.
