Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in IT support or desktop support roles with comprehensive knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and software troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with networking concepts such as LAN setup, VPN configuration, firewalls, and network security protocols.
- Experience utilizing ticketing systems like ServiceNow, Jira, or BMC Remedy for managing service requests.
- Proficient in operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
- Capability to troubleshoot network issues with tools like Cisco Firepower or similar firewall management systems.
- Excellent communication skills with a strong focus on customer service and clarity in technical explanations.
- Ability to work autonomously or collaboratively in fast-paced settings.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or other relevant vendor-specific certifications are advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance for desktop hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and software applications including Microsoft Office.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to computer networking, LAN, VPN, firewalls, and other network components.
- Help users with issues concerning operating systems, software troubleshooting, and hardware malfunctions.
- Manage service requests using platforms like ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy, and other help desk ticketing systems.
- Configure and uphold network security measures including firewalls and VPN connections.
- Aid in the rollout of new hardware and software updates across the organization.
- Document technical procedures and solutions to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to swiftly resolve complex IT challenges.
- Keep abreast of emerging technologies relevant to IT support functions.
Description
