Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Over 7 years of practical experience with EDI map development.
- Proficient in IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (v6.X+), Sterling File Gateway, and Control Center within high-volume settings. Familiarity with Sterling adapters (FTP/S, HTTP/S, AS2, MQ, ODBC/JDBC) is essential.
- Programming/Scripting expertise in XPath/XSLT, Java/Groovy, SQL, UNIX shell, or PowerShell for automation and monitoring.
- Hands-on experience in integrating existing enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), and external partner systems.
- In-depth knowledge of standards and protocols including ANSI X12, EDIFACT, cXML, HIPAA, GS1, JSON, CSV; AS2, SFTP, REST APIs, and VAN.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire partner lifecycle, including onboarding and off-boarding of trading partners, managing requirements gathering, mapping, connectivity, certifications, and go-live processes.
- Ensure the upkeep of partner profiles, certificates, schedules, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), while coordinating mass migrations or consolidations as needed.
- Monitor and support daily EDI/B2B traffic (X12, EDIFACT, XML/JSON, cXML, flat files) utilizing Sterling dashboards, alerts, and custom reports. Troubleshoot issues and conduct root-cause analyses, implementing sustainable fixes in collaboration with infrastructure, network, and business teams.
- Design, code, and test intricate maps, adapters, and processes in Sterling Integrator (Graphical Process Modeler/BPML), optimizing performance and transitioning legacy EDI transactions to modern B2B systems.
- Act as the technical liaison for external partners and VANs, translating business needs into technical solutions. Provide support, mentor junior staff, and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as acknowledgment timeliness and error rates; propose automation and process enhancements while evaluating new B2B/EDI tools to improve roadmaps.
- Identify and rectify errors in systems spanning across platforms.
- Offer on-call support for production-related issues, guiding computer operators with corrective instructions.
- May serve as a backup on-call resource for others possessing critical knowledge.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
