Requirements
Must:
- Secret Clearance
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
- Demonstrated experience in systems engineering with an emphasis on satellite communications
- Strong program/project management abilities to oversee both short- and long-term projects, actions, and recurring deliverables
- Capacity to initiate tasks independently, handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting, and manage various tasks with minimal oversight
Responsibilities
- Conduct operations analysis and effectiveness engineering for Commercial Satellite Communications (COMSATCOM) solutions
- Propose strategic methods and comprehensive C4I capabilities to satisfy customer requirements; formulate precise and defensible cost estimates for suggested solutions
- Examine changes in system threat capacities and their effects on terminal and satellite functionality
- Assess shore-based options for Navy Teleports and offer guidance to leadership
- Review vendor submissions for precision and thoroughness
- Evaluate existing COMSATCOM software planning tools and any proposed follow-ons to confirm support for Navy needs
- Suggest upgrades and improvements to baseline software tools
- Assist in reviews of Engineering Change Proposals and provide input to program leadership
