Requirements
Must:
- Extensive experience in supporting manufacturing operations in regulated or cGMP environments
- Proficiency in Automation systems such as PLC, HMI, SCADA, particularly Rockwell, Inductive (Ignition), Aveva (Wonderware), Siemens, Emerson (GE), or B&R
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred)
- Familiarity with GMP principles, GAMP 5, and ISA standards (preferred)
- Knowledge of FactoryTalk Batch, Data Historian systems, and Microsoft SQL database designs (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Interact with various equipment and systems, including PLCs, SCADAs, HMIs, servers, databases, data historians, visualization tools, and other automation hardware
- Participate in the design, optimization, commissioning, or validation of new and existing equipment as the automation lead
- Consult with cross-functional teams and assist system owners in process development as the automation expert
- Review and approve requirements, specifications, drawings, and coding procedures
- Provide technical support and training on systems, software, and processes
- Communicate project priorities and status updates to the team regularly
- Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills to resolve technical issues
- Identify and implement temporary and permanent solutions for equipment problems
- Review and validate documentation for equipment and process qualifications
- Create, review, and update SOPs and specifications to ensure effective maintenance of systems and facilities
- Ensure adherence to proper documentation practices during maintenance activities
- Recommend and initiate actions to maintain compliance in the area and equipment
- Evaluate and implement improvements in productivity, waste management, quality, and cost-effectiveness
- Lead investigations and studies with minimal supervision
- Engage with regulatory personnel during audits and inspections
- Conduct quality audits to verify equipment functionality
- Provide 24/7 on-call support as part of a rotating schedule
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor
