Engineer I

- High School diploma or equivalent; experience in hospitality or a related field is necessary. - Preferred: at least one year of progressive experience in hospitality or a related field. - Helpful: Trade school or college coursework in a related discipline. - Flexibility and willingness to work extended hours when required. - Ability to exert over 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or over 50 pounds frequently. - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with employees and guests in a courteous and attentive manner. - Effective listening skills to address and clarify concerns raised by employees and guests. - Strong multitasking abilities to prioritize departmental tasks and meet deadlines. - Positive attitude when engaging with guests and employees. - Attendance at all required meetings and trainings. - Regular attendance in compliance with Highgate Hotel Standards, adjusting based on hotel needs. - Commitment to maintaining high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including uniform and nametag. - Adherence to Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations to promote safe and efficient hotel operations. - Proactive approach towards productivity, identifying issues, and assisting with solutions. - Problem-solving skills to anticipate, prevent, and address issues as needed. - Ability to understand and apply complex information from various sources to meet objectives. - Willingness to be cross-trained in other hotel departments. - Discretion in maintaining the confidentiality of information. - Initiative in anticipating guest or operational needs. - Additional duties may be assigned as needed by management.
