Engineer I

- High School diploma or equivalent required; experience in hotel or a related field preferred. - Minimum one year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field is desirable. - Trade school training or college coursework in a related discipline is beneficial. - Ability to work flexible hours and extended shifts as needed. - Must be capable of lifting over 100 pounds occasionally, over 50 pounds frequently, and over 20 pounds consistently. - Effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of staff and guests in a service-oriented manner. - Proven ability to listen, comprehend, and clarify concerns raised by employees and guests. - Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities to meet deadlines. - Professional demeanor and attentive approach towards guests and employees. - Attendance at mandatory hotel meetings and training sessions is required. - Consistent presence adhering to Highgate Hotel Standards according to scheduling needs. - Maintenance of high personal appearance and grooming standards, including appropriate uniform and nametag. - Compliance with regulations and standards to support safe and efficient hotel operations. - Initiative in increasing productivity while identifying and addressing problem areas. - Skilled in problem solving, including identifying, preventing, and addressing issues as they arise. - Ability to interpret and apply complex information and data effectively. - Willingness to cross-train in various hotel-related positions. - Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information. - Proactive approach to anticipating guest and operational requirements. - Additional duties as assigned by management.
