Junior Engineer

- A High School diploma or an equivalent qualification along with experience in the hotel or related sector is mandatory. - A minimum of one year of progressive experience in a hotel or similar field is preferred. - Trade school or college coursework in a relevant area is advantageous. - Flexibility in working hours is necessary since longer shifts may be required. - Heavy lifting may be involved, requiring the ability to exert over 100 pounds of force occasionally, over 50 pounds frequently, and over 20 pounds continuously. - Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for interaction with guests and employees in a courteous and service-oriented manner. - The ability to listen, understand, and address concerns raised by employees and guests effectively is vital. - Capable of multitasking and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines. - A friendly, attentive, and courteous attitude towards guests and employees is expected. - Attendance at all mandatory hotel meetings and training sessions is required. - Consistent attendance aligned with Highgate Hotel Standards is a must, adjusted based on hotel needs. - Maintaining high personal appearance standards and grooming, including appropriate uniform and nametag, is essential. - Adhering to Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations for safe and efficient operations is expected. - A proactive approach to maximize productivity, identify problem areas, and assist in developing solutions is necessary. - The ability to anticipate, prevent, identify, and resolve problems as needed is critical. - Must be proficient in understanding and applying complex information and data from various sources to achieve objectives. - Willingness to cross-train in other hotel-related areas is required. - Confidentiality of information must be maintained. - Initiative in anticipating guest or operational needs is highly valued. - Additional tasks as assigned by management must be performed.
