We are looking for individuals with demonstrated experience in IT support or help desk positions, possessing a solid grasp of computer hardware, software troubleshooting, and operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux). Familiarity with VPNs, firewalls, LANs, and networking concepts is essential. Candidates should have experience using ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, or BMC Remedy for tracking and managing issues. Knowledge of desktop support processes and troubleshooting techniques for operating systems and software applications, including the Microsoft Office suite, is important. Strong communication skills are a must, as you will need to articulate technical issues to non-technical users effectively. The ability to perform under pressure while upholding exceptional customer service standards is crucial. Additional skills that are beneficial include experience in operating system management (Windows/macOS/Linux), insight into network security protocols, familiarity with help desk best practices, and experience assisting remote users.
Responsibilities
As a Helpdesk Agent, I will respond promptly to user inquiries through phone, email, or ticketing systems like ServiceNow, Jira, and BMC Remedy. I will troubleshoot and resolve problems related to desktop support, software applications, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and hardware. I will assist with network connectivity issues including LAN setup, firewall configurations, VPN access, and other networking challenges. My role will involve supporting users with Microsoft Office applications and various productivity tools. I will document all support requests and resolutions accurately in the ticketing systems and escalate complex issues to senior support teams when necessary.
