Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED
- CPR/First Aid Certification required
- At least 1 year of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or mental health conditions preferred
- Valid in-state drivers license
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Current vehicle registration and insurance
- Driving record with no more than 2 points in the past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions
Responsibilities
- Assist adults with developmental disabilities in daily living activities
- Support clients with personal hygiene, grooming, diet, and dressing needs
- Aid clients with bathroom assistance as needed
- Change clothing and undergarments when required
- Prepare meals and ensure timely cleanup
- Follow daily routines as specified in the Individual Program Plan (IPP)
- Redirect challenging behaviors through engaging activities such as walking, reading, games, and computer tasks
- Provide safe transportation in company vehicles when necessary
