Requirements
Must:
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including leadership on critical projects or teams
- Strong backend expertise with a concentration on scalable systems and infrastructure
- In-depth experience with PostgreSQL at scale (schema design, performance tuning, replication, backups, and high availability)
- Proven history of building and deploying production-grade systems in high-growth settings
- Experience with APIs, distributed systems, and contemporary cloud infrastructure
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail and edge cases
- Collaborative approach with experience in mentoring and guiding fellow engineers
- Adaptable to a fast-paced, high-impact work environment
Responsibilities
- Design and scale backend systems to accommodate high-growth and high-volume usage
- Own and evolve the platform architecture to guarantee reliability, performance, and scalability
- Translate business objectives into precise technical roadmaps while working closely with Product, Design, and GTM teams
- Establish engineering best practices, including coding standards, CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and observability
- Assess and adopt new technologies, such as APIs, databases, and infrastructure tools
- Lead technical initiatives and mentor engineers across various teams
- Rapidly prototype and iterate on new product features with a strong emphasis on customer impact
