Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree and a minimum of 7 years of experience, or a Masters degree with at least 5 years of experience
- Proficiency in big data systems, such as Apache Spark and Databricks
- Familiarity with ETL processes
- Experience working within the Advana Data Environment
- Knowledge of cloud services including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or MilCloud 2.0
- Ability to engineer data pipelines across various security domains and classified networks
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages
- Active Secret security clearance; Top Secret (TS) with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility is strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup and integration of structured, unstructured, and semi-structured data sources into systems that fulfill mission partner needs, while supporting a data analytics and DevOps pipeline for quick functionality delivery
- Oversee all operational aspects of data transfers, ensuring the security of the infrastructure and supported applications; monitor environmental health through various tracking mechanisms
- Streamline configuration management, utilize relevant tools, and keep up-to-date with emerging ETL technologies and services
- Operate with a degree of autonomy to develop solutions; evaluate architecture for potential areas to automate, optimize, and reduce costs to enhance environmental health
- Utilize knowledge of data engineering technologies and services, employing database expertise and various methods of data structuring and retrieval; understand cloud architectural models and assist in establishing and maintaining programmatic Cloud environments using vendor platforms
- Collaborate with multiple functional teams to grasp client challenges, prototype innovative ideas and technologies, create solutions that foster innovation, and design, execute, validate, and deploy complete features and components of solutions
- Identify and implement scalable and efficient coding methods
- Apply DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and automate the compliance process
