Requirements

Must:
- Minimum of 5 years in software test automation, with at least 2 years focused on Guidewire Centers - Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field - Certifications like Certified Software Test Professional (CSTP), ISTQB, or Certified Software Testing Engineer (CSTE) are advantageous - Experience in Agile environments for test automation design and development - Familiarity with Guidewire test automation framework is a plus - Knowledge of the insurance domain and Guidewire InsuranceSuite - Strong grasp of software development and QA methodologies - Experience with Jira, Rally, SharePoint, and Teams is beneficial - Hands-on experience with Automation, API, Cucumber, BDD, CI/CD, Gherkin language, Selenium, Karate, and Test Café - Familiarity with Guidewire applications and test automation frameworks (GT UI and GT API) is an asset - Technical expertise in designing and enhancing automation frameworks across various technology platforms - Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript - Familiarity with test automation tools like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar - Solid understanding of CI/CD tools such as Bitbucket or Azure DevOps - Knowledge of SQL and database testing - Experience with API Automation Testing using XML/JSON, SOAP API, REST API, and API framework development - Experience with version control systems like Git - Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI

Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and maintain robust automation frameworks for Guidewire and enterprise applications to ensure effective testing processes - Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline for consistent quality and swift delivery of updates - Design and construct automated test scripts - Execute test scripts, analyze results, and document any defects - Troubleshoot and resolve automation-related issues - Create and maintain test data to support diverse testing scenarios and ensure integrity - Conduct regression testing to ensure updates do not negatively impact existing scripts - Validate data flows between systems for accurate mapping and transformation - Estimate, plan, and manage resources for QA automation projects - Review business requirement documents to determine optimal automated test coverage - Generate comprehensive reports and documentation to communicate results and quality status to stakeholders - Assess and integrate new testing tools and technologies to improve automation capabilities - Advocate for best practices and standards in test automation, ensuring reliability and maintainability - Collaborate with the QA Supervisor and Process and Business Analysis Manager to define the overall automation strategy - Mentor junior automation engineers and conduct code reviews for automated scripts - Provide training sessions and workshops on automation tools and Guidewire-specific testing practices - Work alongside business analysts, development, and QA teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage - Coordinate with cross-functional teams to uphold quality throughout the development lifecycle - Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in test automation technologies to enhance our capabilities - Embrace change and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement
