Lab Info Security Engineer

- Vulnerability and Patch Management: I will proactively identify, evaluate, and address security vulnerabilities across a wide array of systems and applications in the lab datacenter. This includes managing the complete lifecycle of vulnerability management, from discovery to resolution. - Policy Development and Implementation: I will adapt and convert foundational corporate security principles into practical, effective security policies and procedures tailored for the lab environment, working to create and implement strategies that prevent security breaches. - Security Champion: I will serve as the primary security advocate for the three designated lab groups, offering security guidance, promoting security awareness, and nurturing a robust security culture within the teams. As a liaison, I will connect the labs with other security teams within the organization. - Technology Assessment: I will perform thorough security reviews of all new hardware, software, and technologies introduced into the lab datacenter to identify and mitigate potential risks. - Operational Security: I will monitor the lab environment for security threats, respond to security incidents, and conduct forensic investigations as necessary. - System and Network Security: I will implement and maintain security controls for lab systems and networks, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls. - Balancing Security and Usability: I will work with lab users to comprehend their needs and workflows, implementing security measures that safeguard the environment while facilitating productivity and innovation. - Corporate Environment Protection: I will ensure the security of the lab datacenter to prevent any compromise of the larger corporate network and resources.
