Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience with Shopify POS (focused on in-store operations, not just online store development)
- Familiarity with Shopify POS Pro features and their configuration
- Strong grasp of retail operations, specifically in the footwear/apparel sector
- Comprehensive understanding of retail workflows and omnichannel practices
- Proficient in hardware setup, diagnostics, and in-store testing
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with store management
Responsibilities
- Assist in the setup of Shopify POS and troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Validate the complete Shopify POS setup in collaboration with the store manager
- Guide backup payment workflows for efficient operations
- Test and verify the functionality of the offline mode
- Configure hardware and troubleshoot any technical challenges
- Ensure the receipt printer, barcode scanner, and card reader are performing optimally
- Conduct inventory adjustment processes
- Walk through the end-to-end process for refunds and exchanges
- Oversee the proper intake, tagging, and syncing of store merchandise to Shopify inventory
- Develop and provide clear documentation, quick-reference guides, or standard operating procedures
- Facilitate staff training sessions, both in group settings and one-on-one, for the necessary process workflows
Description
We are a retail team transitioning to Shopify, seeking a skilled Shopify POS Expert to enhance our in-store efficiency and readiness. This role involves hands-on collaboration to ensure our POS environment operates smoothly and meets the demands of real retail activities. We offer competitive pay ranging from $25.67 to $37.50 per hour. Our work location is in-person, ensuring a close-knit team dynamic and effective training environment.
