Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) required
- Less than 12 months of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships) needed
- Familiarity or education in software development is necessary
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is essential
- U.S. citizenship is required due to security clearance eligibility
- Experience with C++, C, Java or similar high-level programming languages preferred
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, systems software design, and operating systems is advantageous
- Exposure to Unix/Linux operating systems is beneficial
- Strong analytical and communication skills are essential
- Experience in collaborative software development environments, ideally Agile/SCRUM or DevOps, is a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist in the requirements, design, development, and testing of real-time embedded software and application software
- Contribute to the design, coding, integration, testing, and documentation of software solutions
- Participate in internal reviews of software components and systems
- Collaborate effectively with project managers and fellow engineering professionals
- Adhere to established practices and processes for software configuration management
- Support the enhancement of existing applications and systems or develop new products
