Requirements
Must:
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is necessary before the start date.
- U.S. citizenship is mandatory as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Bachelors degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) required, along with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in developing complex systems and applications using C/C++, Java, Ada, or other object-oriented programming languages.
- Capability to learn and demonstrate proficiency in the Ada programming language.
- Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems is essential.
- Ability to obtain an interim Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
- Preferred: Active Secret security clearance.
- Preferred: Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles, especially in high-concurrency and distributed systems.
- Preferred: Experience with multithreading, memory management, or performance optimization in complex environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Ada for intricate systems and applications.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to outline, design, and execute new features, ensuring system integration and scalability.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing code to improve performance and efficiency in complex settings.
- Create and sustain comprehensive documentation for software applications, encompassing system architecture and design specifications.
- Engage in code reviews and uphold adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in emerging technologies relevant to complex systems.
- Occasionally participate in light travel and off-hour testing (2nd or 3rd shift).
