Requirements
Must:
- U.S. citizenship is mandatory as it is required for security clearance eligibility.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance needed prior to starting the position.
- A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) is typically required.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is preferred unless local laws restrict this.
- Proficiency in real-time operating systems such as Linux, VxWorks, or others is required.
- Experience with object-oriented programming and familiarity with C++ is essential.
- Background in developing, testing, and integrating real-time software applications in C++ is necessary.
- Familiarity with coding in C, C#, Java, or similar programming languages is advantageous.
- Working knowledge of shell scripting languages such as Shell, Perl, or Python is beneficial.
- Experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams is a must.
Responsibilities
- Engage in all phases of the software development life cycle as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Support both new and existing military and commercial programs from conceptualization through requirements, design, development, integration, and testing.
- Address complex technical systems and software integration challenges with innovative solutions.
- Collaborate closely with Systems Engineers to ensure solutions meet end-user and operational requirements.
- Maintain eligibility for a Secret U.S. government issued security clearance and potentially a Special Access Program security clearance.
- Work primarily on-site in McKinney, TX, and may require occasional business-related travel.
