Requirements
Must:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and at least 5 years of experience in Database Engineering.
- Experience as both a Database Administrator (DBA) and Database Engineer (DBE).
- Familiarity with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) including Oracle, Postgres, or similar platforms.
- Ability to collaborate with Systems and Software Engineers to implement and adjust backend databases for application integration in a development setting.
- Background in virtualizing or containerizing databases.
- Proficiency in using the Linux command line for database administration tasks.
- Possession of an active and transferable Top Secret security clearance is mandatory prior to the start date, with eligibility to acquire a TS/SCI clearance required. U.S. Citizenship is necessary as only U.S. Citizens can obtain a clearance.
Responsibilities
- Assess and comprehend customer requirements, applying a firm grasp of database principles, theories, and software engineering concepts to translate these needs into effective design solutions.
- Exhibit critical thinking abilities and effectively communicate concepts and ideas.
- Successfully integrate Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) products into customer-focused solutions.
- Utilize proven problem-solving techniques and analytical abilities.
- Obtain and sustain SCI program access and complete necessary polygraphs.
- Achieve Security+ certification within 60 days following the start date.
