Requirements

Must:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. - Expertise in at least one system-level or subsystem-level technical area: Guidance, Navigation, and Control, Orbital Mechanics, Mission Planning. - Knowledge in Mission Analysis / Performance Analysis, Satellite Technology, Multidisciplinary Design, System-of-Systems Design. - Proficient in programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, and/or C++, with familiarity in both Windows and Linux environments. - Experience in one or more of the following areas: System performance, CONOPS, Algorithms and Signal Processing, Modeling and Simulation (i.e., 6-DOF). - Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is mandatory prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

- Conduct vehicle design and system sizing, mission performance analysis, and trajectory optimization. - Evaluate hypothetical missions and hardware for feasibility, collaborating with engineers across various disciplines to enhance models and understand performance drivers. - Create standardized mission analysis, performance assessment, and mission planning toolsets for an expanded portfolio. - Leverage grid computing infrastructure to facilitate the generation and analysis of extensive datasets. - Generate visual representations of intricate systems and mission CONOPs using STK or similar tools. - Coordinate efforts with product line management and customers. - Collaborate closely with programs and Advanced Technology leadership to formulate concepts and refine technologies for new business development and acquisition, including opportunities for IRAD funding and intellectual property disclosures. - Participate directly in the development and testing of mission planning application software. - Capability to obtain special program access.
