Requirements
Must:
- A Bachelors Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) is typically required, along with a minimum of eight years of relevant professional experience unless local laws dictate otherwise.
- Proficiency in software architecture, design, development, integration, and verification, specifically with virtual machines, C#, C++, and Java.
- Experience in creating cross-platform .NET backend web applications suitable for cloud deployment.
- Familiarity with software development utilizing DevOps pipeline workflows.
- Experience relating to:
- Mission Planning
- Common Weapon Component familiarity
- Knowledge of Universal Armament Interface (UAI) or Common Flexible Weapon (CFW)
- Understanding system performance and Concept of Operations (CONOPS)
- Algorithms and signal processing expertise
- Aerodynamics and modeling/simulation (e.g., 6-DOF)
- Aircraft integration and weapon interface standards (e.g., MIL-STD-1553 and 1760)
- An active and transferable Secret U.S. government-issued security clearance is required prior to the start date, with U.S. citizenship necessary for clearance eligibility.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a team of engineers and analysts to achieve Mission Planning objectives.
- Serve as the primary resource for mission planning expertise.
- Travel for flight tests and provide on-site support as needed.
- Develop standardized mission planning solutions across various programs, captures, and IRADs.
- Cultivate a mission planning team with diverse knowledge and skills.
- Enhance the teams proficiency in mission planning techniques, software development, and tools.
- Coordinate efforts with other Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Program Chief Engineers, and Program Management.
- Create capability delivery plans and lead team actions within an agile framework.
- Participate directly in the development and testing of mission planning application software.
- Offer guidance, mentorship, and direction to nurture team collaboration and support the growth of junior engineers.
