Requirements
Must:
- U.S. citizenship is mandatory as only U.S. citizens are eligible for security clearances.
- Active and applicable U.S. government-issued security clearance (DoD Secret) must be obtained prior to the start date.
- A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) is typically required along with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
- 8 years of experience in embedded firmware design or development and/or verification.
- Proficient in C/C++ development across various embedded hardware platforms.
- Familiarity with model development and data analysis utilizing MATLAB/Simulink.
- Ability to obtain and uphold a U.S. security clearance as needed.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, implementation, and validation of motor control firmware for Control Actuation Systems.
- Develop digital control algorithms in C/C++ in collaboration with the Controls and Algorithms team.
- Engage with mechanical and electrical design engineers and vendors to enhance hardware design efficiencies.
- Participate in hands-on integration and evaluation of hardware and firmware in laboratory settings.
- Mentor junior engineers to foster skill development and knowledge sharing.
