Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) preferred
- At least 5 years of professional experience in Configuration Management, or 9 years of experience in lieu of a degree
- Familiarity with databases such as SAP, ERP, PDM, CABS, PRISM, or other similar systems
- Proficient in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- General understanding of configuration management principles, policies, procedures, and tools
- Excellent interpersonal abilities to collaborate with various engineering disciplines for ensuring data integrity
- Capability to identify and resolve complex issues related to technical engineering data
- Experience in reviewing data and processing documentation or records
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage Configuration Management processes, ensuring adherence to contractual and organizational standards
- Mentor and guide CM team members while promoting cross-functional alignment and best practices
- Manage CM-related projects and assess risks, advising leadership on program readiness
- Create accurate Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for proposals and support during Gate and Milestone reviews
- Implement procedures for managing changes to engineering documents and processes
- Analyze and coordinate updates related to engineering change data across teams
- Conduct configuration audits to ensure compliance with CM plans and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain product baselines and ensure data accuracy throughout the product lifecycle
- Collaborate effectively with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams on configuration and change control activities
