Requirements
Must:
- A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) is typically required
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in software development
- Proficiency in developing, testing, and integrating real-time software applications using C++ or similar languages
- Familiarity with scripting languages like Python, Shell, or Perl
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is preferred
- Experience with development on Linux, VxWorks, or other Real-Time Operating Systems
- Skilled in collaborating in lab environments with physical hardware, such as test benches or simulators
- Strong ability to understand and navigate complex systems and code bases
- Background in Scrum techniques within Agile software development processes
- Knowledge of DevSecOps pipeline implementation and continuous integration/continuous delivery methods using Test-Driven Development
- Hands-on experience with Git for version control and GitLab for repository management
Responsibilities
- Assist in the requirements gathering, design, development, and testing of real-time embedded software and tools
- Design, implement, test, and document software solutions
- Participate in internal reviews of software components and systems
- Collaborate with project managers and other engineering professionals
- Work on defined scope, schedule, and expectations for problems
- Adhere to established development practices and maintain software product configuration management
- May require occasional travel for business-related activities
