Must:
We require candidates to hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) coupled with two years of relevant experience. An active and transferable U.S. government-issued DoD Secret security clearance is mandatory before the start date. Candidates must be U.S. citizens, as only U.S. citizens qualify for a security clearance. Additional qualifications include experience in Cybersecurity Engineering and familiarity with the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF).
Responsibilities
In this role, I expect you to implement appropriate cybersecurity measures and engage with customers to define Systems Security Engineering (SSE) requirements, trade-offs, costs, implementations, system impacts, and effectiveness. You will maintain a Risk Management Framework Authorization to Operate for the assigned system, support the development of plans and estimates, execute tasks, track projects, report, and identify and mitigate risks. You will plan and oversee SSE implementations within customer systems, consult program line management regarding SSE architectures and challenges, and outline the development and testing efforts for implementing security controls of networking devices, databases, operating systems, and accompanying hardware and software components. Moreover, you should integrate cybersecurity development activities, establish top-level system requirements, and ensure the secure configuration of routers, switches, firewalls, servers, operating systems, applications, and other assets using DoD-approved scanning and assessment tools.
