We are looking for candidates with an Associate's Degree in an appropriate field from a regionally accredited institution, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The ideal applicant possesses two years of relevant experience; however, an equivalent blend of education and experience will also be considered. Experience with an integrated higher education enterprise database is essential, and familiarity with Ellucian Banner is highly preferred. Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and Evisions Argos is desirable, while experience with Oracle is a plus. We value candidates who can work and learn independently, demonstrating strong initiative, self-motivation, communication, and organizational skills. The ability to prioritize multiple projects and work collaboratively in a team setting is crucial.
Responsibilities
As a Programmer Analyst, I will be accountable for the entire development process, including programming, integration, testing, and implementation of applications to interface with Ellucian Banner, the college's administrative computing system. My essential duties will encompass analyzing user needs to craft solutions, maintaining administrative applications, and generating reports using Evisions products. Additionally, I will create and manage application interfaces to various supporting administrative systems. I will engage directly with end users for testing and troubleshooting, manage application implementation projects, and apply information technology best practices to meet end-user requests. I will be responsible for documenting programs, procedures, technical instructions, and business processes while also participating in the Banner User Group and other College committees. To stay updated in my field, I will maintain my technical skills through ongoing training and actively participate in relevant industry organizations and conferences.
