Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in IT support or an equivalent role focusing on technical and desktop support.
- Strong understanding of computer management principles and IT infrastructure elements.
- Proficiency in diagnosing networking issues such as TCP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, and LAN setups.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server environments and Active Directory administration.
- Experience with network management tools like Meraki is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Strong analytical abilities for troubleshooting and system evaluation.
- Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of mobile device management is advantageous.
- College degree or 10 years of relevant experience required.
- Capability to travel to client sites and lift up to 40 lbs.
- Must successfully pass a background check.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for hardware and software issues across multiple platforms, including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Diagnose software complications and perform repairs or upgrades as necessary.
- Oversee computer systems to ensure peak performance and safety.
- Assist users with VPN setup and configuration, along with firewall adjustments.
- Support desktop environments by resolving issues related to hardware, operating systems, and applications like Microsoft Office.
- Conduct network administration tasks, including DNS management, TCP/IP configuration, and LAN establishment.
- Employ tools such as AutoTask, Datto RMM, and Rocket Cyber for software deployment and management.
- Document incidents and resolutions utilizing help desk software Autotask.
- Collaborate with team members to evaluate system performance and introduce improvements.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by effectively communicating with users to understand their requirements.
- Set up and deploy new hardware, including workstations, servers, and network devices such as firewalls, switches, and access points.
