Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
- Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in agile methodologies with a customer-focused approach
- Proven experience in deploying and managing applications in production
- Expertise in Python programming
- Experience with GitHub Actions and implementing CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with Kubernetes for container orchestration
- Knowledge of GitOps practices like ArgoCD
- Background in DevOps and automation
- Experience in the deployment of machine learning models and MLOps practices
- Skills in API and/or web application development
- Familiarity with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Proficient in English (mandatory)
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and operate production-ready AI/ML systems and data pipelines in an agile setting
- Construct, manage, and enhance CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions for automated testing and deployment
- Deploy and manage applications on Kubernetes with GitOps practices (e.g., ArgoCD)
- Create user-facing applications through APIs or graphical interfaces
- Transition predictive models into production with an emphasis on reliability, scalability, and observability
- Develop and refine computing pipelines for data processing and model training
- Collaborate closely with data scientists, computational biologists, and vaccine researchers to turn scientific requirements into effective digital solutions
- Participate actively in agile ceremonies and help improve team practices continually
- Maintain high standards in code quality, documentation, and knowledge sharing
- Clearly communicate complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
Description
We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer - Production AI to join our mRNA Systems Engineering team in Waltham, MA. In this role, you will design and operate high-quality systems based on AI and machine learning that accelerate mRNA vaccine development. Our dynamic team is committed to building scalable digital products that empower scientists in Vaccines R&D. We offer a hybrid working model, allowing flexibility with at least three days on site. You will have the opportunity to contribute to essential global health projects while collaborating with leading scientists and engineers in a purpose-driven organization.
