Wireless Network Engineer

- Configure, support, and troubleshoot enterprise wireless network controllers and access points (Cisco preferred) - Deploy new wireless controllers and SSIDs using various encryption and authentication methods - Diagnose and resolve client network connectivity problems due to device misconfiguration or environmental factors - Understand wireless configurations involving RADIUS servers for client/device profiling and 802.1x authentication - Be knowledgeable of 802.11 standards and common sources of wireless interference - Install, configure, and maintain network routers and switches with IPv4 and IPv6 - Capture wired and wireless network traffic and analyze using tools like AirMagnet and Wireshark - Work with network firewalls, site-to-site VPN tunnels, and access control lists (ACLs) - Create x509 keystores, certificates, and convert formats as needed - Support and troubleshoot enterprise server hardware and virtual hypervisors (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.) - Manage Microsoft Active Directory users, groups, and GPO policies - Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations and standard operating procedures (SOPs) - Modify ESSIDs, AAA authentication, and AP power settings on Cisco Wireless Controllers - Handle device management and troubleshoot authentication and authorization issues - Address connectivity issues for site-to-site VPN tunnels and manage firewall updates - Manage VLANs and subnets on L3 switches and understand common routing protocols - Install VMWare ESXi or Hyper-V on new servers and maintain virtual machines and templates - Build Windows and Linux Servers in virtual environments and manage Active Directory and SQL Server - Create key files, CA certificates, and server certificates while converting formats as needed
