Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Information Science, Psychology, or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
- Over 6 years of experience in UX Research or UX Architecture, particularly in complex enterprise or SaaS environments.
- Demonstrated experience architecting or researching agentic AI domains, including concept testing for autonomous agents and designing for Graceful Failure.
- Strong expertise in qualitative (interviews, journey mapping) and quantitative (A/B testing, surveys) research methodologies.
- Capacity to navigate complex, matrixed environments independently.
- Solid business acumen with the skill to communicate architectural insights effectively to varied stakeholders, building consensus and confidence in the product.
- Experience in Information Architecture (IA) for multi-tenant B2B SaaS products.
- Hands-on experience with Data Visualization or collaborating closely with Machine Learning (ML) teams to enhance model transparency.
- Familiarity with Service Design principles in large, cross-functional organizations.
Responsibilities
- Direct mixed-methods research (qualitative and quantitative) to establish the information architecture and interaction models for agentic AI workflows.
- Guide and define Agent Behaviors—articulating how AI agents anticipate user needs, rationalize their actions, and escalate to human support when necessary.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Engineers to convert research insights into structural requirements and technical specifications.
- Merge qualitative user insights with quantitative log analysis and business telemetry to design data-driven recommendations.
- Promote a standardized research culture, ensuring that user-centered thinking is integrated into the Agent Architecture throughout the organization.
Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic UX Architect to spearhead the design and research strategy for our Xvantage platform. Located in a telecommuting environment, this contract role comes with a competitive pay rate of $60 to $70 per hour and standard work hours from 8 AM to 5 PM. As we delve deep into defining the architecture of our AI experiences, customer support systems, and associate tools, the selected candidate will help shape the Human-AI relationship, ensuring our AI functionalities are not only robust but also secure and scalable within complex B2B user workflows.
