Must:

- High School diploma or GED - Extensive experience in front-end web application development with hands-on programming in at least one language (Java, JavaScript, React, Vue, Angular on LAMP/MEAN/MERN stack) - Experience creating conceptual and detailed design solutions based on user needs - Knowledge of and experience with Adobe Experience Manager, SharePoint, and WordPress CMS is a plus - Proven history of collaborating with cross-functional teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies - Strong skills in communication, working alongside business and technical users to create comprehensive solutions - Proficient in end-to-end Human-Centered Design (HCD) techniques including research, design, and usability - UI/UX design or web developer certifications and training are preferred - Prior experience in the Electric and Gas Utility Industry is advantageous - Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or relevant technical experience - Familiarity with front-end user frameworks (Vue.js, Angular.js, React.js, jQuery, etc.) - Experience working within Agile ceremonies and methodologies

Responsibilities

- Conduct research, design, develop, test, and coordinate the integration of UX designs into the JavaScript/Java codebase to ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX standards - Serve as both designer and developer, providing expertise as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for high-visibility ongoing projects - Create clean and semantic HTML markup that complies with WCAG & ADA/508 accessibility standards - Support the customer-facing design system with new components, addressing defects, ensuring accessibility, and crafting page templates - Collaborate effectively with analysts, developers, and architects to meet implementation and component requirements - Stay updated on trends in user interface frameworks and programming techniques, recommending new tools and methods as necessary - Create and maintain design files, wireframes, and mock-ups - Develop UI and UX interfaces, as well as participate in usability testing and user interface reviews - Engage in hands-on development using front-end frameworks such as Vue.js, Angular.js, React.js, jQuery, etc. - Contribute to the responsive web app development and support of the customer-facing design system - Ensure the development of reusable, responsive interactive patterns and code libraries that adhere to W3 standards for HTML, JavaScript, and CSS - Collaborate in the SDLC process with business analysts, senior developers, and architects for successful implementation of component requirements - Participate in the strategy development for product UX prioritization and conceptualization - Produce well-structured, maintainable code that aligns with industry best practices and standards - Work with team members to develop UI prototypes and validate ideas through data-driven approaches - Design and develop UI and UX interfaces that meet established standards and requirements - Recognize cross-browser compatibility issues and devise solutions to address them - Remain up-to-date with user interface trends and programming techniques, suggesting new tools and practices as deemed necessary
