Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a related field
- Over 5 years of relevant experience
- Proficient in Python for automation and service development
- Strong grasp of security principles such as least privilege and secure SDLC
- Experience with containerized environments like Kubernetes or OpenShift
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating security into workflows
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration across technical teams
- Knowledge of data security practices, including access control and encryption
- Understanding of DevOps methodologies, including automated testing and release automation
- Experience with data platform concepts including governance and batch processing
- Familiarity with open-source tools such as Ranger, Keycloak, and Spark (preferred)
- Understanding of S3-compatible storage and distributed data processing (preferred)
- Exposure to observability tools and operational health dashboards (preferred)
- Experience with incident response and improving operational resilience (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Design and develop automated workflows for the provisioning and support of data services on OpenShift/Kubernetes
- Maintain and enhance platform capabilities for ecosystem components like Spark and Superset
- Contribute to the architecture for containerized workloads and large-scale data pipelines
- Enhance platform reliability through automation and standard operating procedures
- Implement security automation enforcing controls for data access and protection
- Integrate security measures into the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Assist with security monitoring and compliance activities
- Collaborate with various teams to improve incident response readiness
- Create, implement, and document Python services for platform operations
- Work closely with architects and engineering teams to deliver comprehensive solutions
- Participate in design reviews and threat modeling discussions
