Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related discipline.
- Preferred CCIE/JNCIE/CCIP/JNCIP or NOKIA certifications, or an equivalent level of expertise.
- Extensive knowledge of enterprise networks and SD-WAN is advantageous.
- Strong verbal communication skills with a history of presenting intricate solutions to large enterprises or government sectors.
- Comprehension of networking fundamentals, traditional routing, switching, and system design principles.
- Ability to provide consultations on key networking, data center infrastructure, and security matters to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Expert relationship management abilities and exceptional interpersonal skills for effective communication with various customer management levels and engineering personnel.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP/UDP fundamentals, demonstrating the ability to discuss networking behaviors with developers.
- Aptitude to listen to customer input and collaboratively explore potential designs.
- Deep knowledge of Broadband networks, Service provider IP/MPLS networks, and experience in utilities or transportation networks.
- Proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities and maintain composure under pressure.
- Self-motivated, team-oriented, and enthusiastic about engaging with customers at the CTO level and internal interdisciplinary teams regularly.
- In-depth expertise with Layer 2 and Layer 3 standards, relevant RFCs, and substantial hands-on experience at an Architect or senior engineer level.
- Openness to learning contemporary technologies, building test labs, and developing acceptance test plans.
- 15 to 20+ years of relevant industry experience in a similar position.
- Proficient in Layer 2/3 networking, BGP, IGP, MPLS/Ethernet technologies, and familiarity with segment routing, VPLS, DWDM technology, etc.
- Strong experience and practical skills in Layer 2 Ethernet switching, Layer 3 BGP, OSPF, ISIS, traffic engineering, and related concepts.
- Expertise in troubleshooting to identify configuration issues and software anomalies, articulated clearly through both written and verbal reports.
- Experience with Fiber Access technologies (FTTH/GPON/XGPON) and related network designs; familiarity with vendors like Calix, Adran, and Nokia is a benefit.
- Automation capabilities with Python for test automation, Method of Procedure (MOP), and device configuration scripting are beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic development for NDI within vertical market approaches and provide thought leadership on reference architectures.
- Engage in pre-sales by creating technical designs and analyses.
- Communicate intricate network designs effectively to diverse stakeholders, assess and select third-party vendors, and manage technical changes during network deployment.
- Support the creation of high-level engineering and migration strategies as needed for Tier 1/Tier 2 ISP customer network migrations.
- Author whitepapers and participate in speaking engagements targeted at specific markets.

This is a remote position, and we offer a competitive salary ranging from $175,000 to $210,000 per year, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, and a 401K plan.
