Requirements
Must:
- We need a Quality Assurance Engineer with 5+ years of relevant testing and automation experience.
- We look for strong hands-on exploratory testing skills, with the ability to uncover edge cases, integration gaps, and design weaknesses.
- We value the ability to think beyond written specifications and anticipate real-world user scenarios.
- We require proven experience building, maintaining, and running automated test suites.
- We need proficiency in at least one scripting language, such as Python, JavaScript, or Ruby.
- We expect practical knowledge of software testing practices, the software development lifecycle, and the defect resolution process.
- We prefer familiarity with Linux-based environments, including basic networking concepts and command-line tools.
- We need someone who can work independently, communicate effectively, and consistently meet deadlines.
- We do not require a degree for this role.
Responsibilities
- We analyze requirements and technical approaches to confirm they meet product expectations.
- We design and carry out manual test plans for MV smart camera products.
- We find, record, reproduce, and validate defects while partnering with development teams on root-cause investigations.
- We create automated tests using scripting languages.
- We document test cases and procedures thoroughly to support handoff and traceability.
- We collaborate with internal stakeholders to support release verification and product readiness.
- We work across firmware and cloud domains to verify product requirements and improve quality early in the development cycle.
Description
We are Randstad Digital, and we are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to help verify and validate MV smart cameras. Our team works across firmware and cloud technologies, combining manual testing, automation, and AI-assisted tools to strengthen product quality. We partner early with product development teams to build quality into the solution from the start and to advocate for the customer throughout the development lifecycle. This is a telecommute contract role with a standard 8am to 5pm schedule.
