Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Interaction Design, UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field
- 4+ years of professional experience in research, service design, systems thinking, and/or product design
- Strong knowledge of human-centered design (HCD) principles and experience applying various methods to meet user and business needs
- Experience conducting research, from informal user feedback sessions to structured qualitative studies, including interviews and evaluative research
- Experience designing within complex ecosystems, such as omnichannel services or enterprise software
- Ability to work in ambiguous environments, identify design opportunities, and iteratively evaluate concepts
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and engineers, and manage feedback
- Strong facilitation, communication, and storytelling skills, with the ability to articulate the value of HCD and connect to business outcomes
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- 2+ years of experience mentoring other researchers and designers
- 3+ years of experience with Figma and FigJam
- Experience in designing websites and web-based applications, rather than mobile applications.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end research and design initiatives from discovery to delivery, encompassing scoping, planning, workshop facilitation, prioritization, tracking, and managing multiple projects concurrently
- Plan and conduct both generative and evaluative research; synthesize findings and communicate actionable insights effectively; produce artifacts such as journey maps and reports
- Collaborate with stakeholders and users to identify research and design opportunities
- Partner with various product teams, closely engaging with product, engineering, and other designers to develop concepts, gather feedback, and rapidly iterate while setting OKRs and measuring outcomes
- Ensure designs are driven by research and adequately address business and stakeholder requirements
- Adhere to established research and design protocols, ensuring designs comply with design systems and standards
- Deliver design outputs, including experience visions, wireframes, prototypes, and flow diagrams
- Engage with the research and design community of practice and champion human-centered design methodologies
- Allocate approximately 75% of time to design and 25% to research.
