Requirements
Must:
- Proficiency in constructing queries within Snowflake data
- Ability to establish views in Snowflake and create Excel connections to those views
- Experience developing in Snowflake, particularly in transforming data according to business rules for integration with Power-BI
- Practical knowledge of ETL/ELT development, ideally in Snowflake
- Familiarity with Amazon AWS and/or Microsoft Azure environments
- Competence in writing, debugging, and resolving advanced SQL queries
- In-depth understanding of SQL data types, functions, and database entities
- Experience in developing and maintaining large Data Warehouses and Data Marts
- Capability to interpret SQL query profiles and execution plans
- Proficient in troubleshooting data and connectivity issues using various methods
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a focus on detail
- Scripting or coding experience in languages such as Python, Java, .Net, NodeJS, or R (preferred)
- Background in supporting applications on Amazon AWS or MS Azure (preferred)
- Familiarity with CDC technologies like Fivetran, Attunity, or HVR (preferred)
- Experience with big data systems or MPP databases (preferred)
- Knowledge of virtualization tools such as Docker or Kubernetes (preferred)
- Understanding of cloud security principles (preferred)
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in software application programming and support, or
- Completion of a technical training program with 4 years of relevant experience, or
- Bachelors degree in a related field coupled with 4 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
- Engage in data projects that involve profiling, mapping, and constructing pipelines
- Manage database migration tasks and create ETL/ELT solutions utilizing Snowflake
- Contribute within a dynamic development team using Agile practices
- Leverage cloud platforms, connectors, third-party tools, and software to devise innovative solutions
- Document solutions for sharing in internal and external knowledge bases
- Provide assistance with project initiatives as well as team support
Description
We are seeking a Snowflake ETL/ELT contractor who thrives in a collaborative environment, utilizing both creative and analytical capabilities to solve problems. Our ideal candidate is someone enthusiastic about digital technology and is committed to making a significant impact. This role necessitates excellent communication, interpersonal prowess, and leadership abilities, comfortable within Agile frameworks. This position allows for telecommuting, and as a contractor, you can expect a hourly wage between $58.57 and $68.57, with working hours from 9 AM to 4 PM. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision insurance, short-term disability, life insurance, and a 401K plan, all contingent on eligibility.
