Requirements
Must:
- 10+ years of demonstrable experience in building and managing extensive systems on AWS, with strong knowledge of foundational services such as VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, RDS, S3, KMS, Route53, and networking.
- Extensive experience managing containerized workloads utilizing EKS (Kubernetes) and ECS (Fargate and EC2 launch types).
- Skilled in Infrastructure-as-Code tools like AWS CDK (TypeScript), Terraform, or CloudFormation for defining and overseeing cloud environments.
- Strong capabilities in DevOps and platform engineering, encompassing CI/CD pipeline design, deployment automation, release management, and environment orchestration.
- Practical experience implementing observability metrics, logging, tracing, dashboards, and alerting with tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, or OpenTelemetry.
- Proficient programming or scripting skills in TypeScript, Python, Go, or Bash for automation and tooling within the platform.
- Solid comprehension of cloud security, least privilege, encryption, identity management, and zero-trust principles.
- Highly desirable: Experience managing multi-region, globally deployed cloud systems with an emphasis on cross-region redundancy, data strategies, and regional compliance considerations.
- Proven ability to mentor and guide software developers and DevOps engineers, enhancing the teams understanding of cloud practices, reliability techniques, and automation mindset.
