Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering or a related field, such as Science, Engineering, Technology, or Mathematics
- At least 15 years of recent experience in designing and developing systems to solve complex challenges using algorithms
- Minimum of 10 years devoted to algorithm development and optimization for specific mission needs
- Agile experience is preferred
Bonus Skills:
- Recent expertise in missile tracking systems design and architecture, as well as sensor fusion techniques
- Experience in creating logic, evaluating, and scheduling satellite services for missile tracking
- Familiarity with cloud technologies and their implementation in system design and deployment
- Background in image processing, including collection, management, storage, and analysis
Responsibilities
- Serve as a critical member of a cross-functional team focused on the development and deployment of advanced ground operational systems for the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA)
- Carry out systems engineering processes, including the breakdown of requirements into architectural components, interfaces, and system design behaviors
- Engage in both planned and spontaneous scheduling to maintain awareness of satellite and payload capabilities necessary for missile tracking
- Analyze and integrate missile tracking data received from satellites for ground processing, rapidly sharing information as needed
- Support the evolution, integration, testing, and maintenance of ground entry points and operations centers, as well as enterprise test and infrastructure management
Description
We are seeking a Senior Mission Tracking System Engineer to join our Space Ground Systems Engineering team. This position allows for telecommuting and is structured as a Contract to Permanent role, offering a competitive hourly salary between $88 and $92. You will play a vital role within an elite team, overseeing the development and maintenance of sophisticated ground systems for critical missions.
