Requirements
Must:
- A minimum of 5-7 years of practical experience in SecOps roles, with the last 3 years focused on Microsoft security ecosystems.
- Proven success in consulting environments, showcasing the ability to evaluate, design, and implement integrated security solutions for enterprises.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) in Enterprise or Routing and Switching, or Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) are highly preferred.
- Strong analytical capabilities for incident response, root cause analysis, and proactive threat hunting, with a focus on leveraging Microsoft tools alongside network security insights from routers, switches, SD-WAN, and Azure cloud networking.
- Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with stakeholders, document processes, and deliver training on security best practices.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive SecOps strategies that integrate Microsoft security technologies with selected network security solutions.
- Configure and manage Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Defender for Office 365, and Microsoft Purview to ensure data loss prevention and compliance.
- Utilize Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory for effective identity and access management, implementing conditional access policies and multi-factor authentication.
- Develop and tune custom queries in Microsoft Sentinel for Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) purposes, integrating them with other Microsoft services.
- Oversee the security of Cisco routers and switches, focusing on constructing secure network architectures, particularly utilizing SD-WAN solutions.
- Manage Cisco Meraki dashboard, ensuring secure wireless access points, switches, and security appliances are effectively configured for cloud-managed networking.
- Implement Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls and manage centralized controls through Panorama, URL filtering, and intrusion prevention systems (IPS).

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Operations (SecOps) Engineer for a one-year consulting contract. In this role, you will leverage your deep expertise in Microsoft security technologies and network security solutions, particularly in environments involving Cisco and Palo Alto technologies. You will work remotely and possess the flexibility and self-motivation necessary to deliver measurable security enhancements within the first three months of your engagement.
