Requirements

Must:
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, including stored procedures - Demonstrated ability to create precise and accurate technical documentation for system integrators and project stakeholders - Experience with SAR View, VSAM, DFSORT, and IDCAMS - Extensive background in supporting and enhancing established mainframe systems in production settings - In-depth knowledge of COBOL and capacity to interpret and document legacy system logic - Proficient in QMF reporting, SPUFI, File Manager, and CA Intertest - Proven expertise in data mapping and functional workflow migration - Strong understanding of system conversion and data migration from legacy platforms to contemporary architectures - Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly in analyzing complex legacy code to extract business rules - Hands-on experience with COBOL 6.4, CICS TS, and DB2 (v12.1) - Quick adaptability to learn new technologies and methodologies (Nice To Have) - Familiarity with CICS Web Interface, web services, and API management (Nice To Have) - Exposure to MQ or similar messaging and queuing technologies (Nice To Have) - Experience with the SCANA application, specifically developing integration modules for work management systems (Nice To Have) - Knowledge of utility work management workflows or related Utility Workflows (Nice To Have) - Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python (Nice To Have) - Proficiency in PowerPoint and Visio for technical documentation and presentations (Nice To Have) - Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies and iterative delivery practices (Nice To Have)

Responsibilities

- Develop data remediation programs and SQL scripts necessary for the conversion phase of the project - Analyze and document business rules and embedded logic from COBOL and other platform-specific codes on legacy mainframe systems - Play a crucial role in revealing the complexities of legacy applications and translating findings into comprehensive documentation - Enable system integrators to design and execute the migration of historical data to modern platforms - Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
