Requirements

Must:
- A bachelors degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. - Minimum of three (3) years of experience in systems development, testing, or business roles. - Strong knowledge of both manual and automated testing methodologies, as well as various testing types (e.g., functional, integration, regression, performance, and security). - Proven ability to formulate test plans, devise test cases, execute tests, manage defects, and report findings in an enterprise application development setting. - Basic skills in Unix/Linux for monitoring job processes and log analysis. - Hands-on experience with ETL tools, BI/Reporting tools, and test management systems (such as ADO and ServiceNow). - Familiarity with databases like Oracle and SQL Server. - Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose complex issues, pinpoint root causes, and suggest effective solutions. - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration with peers and stakeholders. - Keen attention to detail to detect even minor defects, leveraging past experiences and lessons learned. - Capacity to evaluate information, assess potential risks, and collaborate with the project team to make informed decisions. - Proven capacity to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and meet project milestones and deadlines. - Note: Successful completion of a Level II Background Check is required for the selected candidate.

Responsibilities

- Act as the primary communication link for the project team. - Identify and document comprehensive end-to-end test scenarios that encompass all key business processes and system requirements. - Develop detailed test cases, specifying names, objectives, and step-by-step procedures. - Validate test cases with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure complete coverage of both functional and non-functional requirements. - Maintain test assets within Azure DevOps (ADO) for version control and authorized access. - Create test cases for the five agency business systems following approved requirements and workflows. - Define preconditions and specific test data needs for each test case to ensure readiness for execution. - Outline detailed steps and expected outcomes for all System Integration Testing (SIT) scenarios to allow for objective validation. - Manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process in strict accordance with the approved UAT Plan. - Assist the UAT coordinator with planning sessions, technical walkthroughs, and stakeholder review meetings to ensure alignment. - Provide support to department staff during execution by offering guidance on testing procedures and best practices, including onboarding and testing ADO. - Monitor and document the pace of testing to ensure all scheduled test cases are completed on time. - Record all test runs meticulously, including input data, actual outcomes, and identified discrepancies. - Engage in functional and system integration testing of business systems while collaborating with the business analyst on the project. - Log defects in the designated management system, categorizing them by severity and impact on the business. - Document reproduction steps and visual evidence for each defect as per departmental standards. - Collaborate with the departments defect management lead to create and track defects using the central management tool (ServiceNow). - Generate test run reports summarizing pass/fail status, defect density, and overall system readiness. - Enhance ADO testing dashboards continuously. - Submit progress and defect tracking reports to the departments shared repository for stakeholder engagement. - Obtain formal approval from the QA Lead for all documentation to ensure adherence to quality standards.

This contract role offers a salary range of $55 to $65 per hour with work hours from 8 AM to 5 PM.
