Requirements

Must:
- Over 7 years of experience in networking and telecommunications environments - At least 5 years in a leadership or management capacity - Extensive experience in managing enterprise network infrastructures, including WAN, LAN, and wireless - Familiarity with SD-WAN technologies, whether in implementation or support - Experience in 24/7 network operations, incident management, and escalations - Knowledge of Cisco VoIP solutions, encompassing administration, support, or design - Proven track record of leading teams, prioritizing tasks, and enhancing operational performance - Background in large, complex enterprise settings - Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities - Understanding of network monitoring and observability tools - Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment (Austin, TX) - Willingness to undergo a thorough background check Nice to Have: - Experience within public sector or government settings - Direct involvement in SD-WAN implementations - Familiarity with tools like ThousandEyes or AppDynamics - Exposure to network security technologies, including NGFW, identity services, and segmentation - Experience overseeing vendors and third-party suppliers - Relevant professional certifications, such as Cisco or Security+

Responsibilities

- Lead and manage network services operations encompassing WAN, LAN, wireless, SD-WAN, and network security platforms - Supervise daily functions including incident response, problem resolution, and service availability - Act as the primary escalation point for critical network and infrastructure concerns - Organize and prioritize tasks across network, infrastructure, and security teams - Initiate and support projects such as: - Optimizing and implementing SD-WAN - Enhancements in network monitoring and observability - Integrating security measures (e.g., NGFW, identity services, and segmentation) - Manage relationships with vendors and ensure service quality for network-related offerings - Guarantee adherence to security protocols, policies, and regulatory standards - Engage in change management procedures, ensuring appropriate documentation and endorsements - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Infrastructure, Data Center, Telecom, and Security - Provide status updates, identify risks, and plan mitigations for leadership - Maintain network architecture documentation and operational guidelines - Assist in knowledge transfer and continuity planning for sustained operations
