Requirements
Must:
- Over 5 years of experience in Network Engineering or a combination of relevant work, training, military experience, or education
- At least 5 years of expertise in configuring routing and switching on the latest platforms and solutions, specifically Cisco Nexus and/or Arista products
- Proficient in routing and switching techniques such as VXLAN overlay networking
- Minimum of 5 years experience with IP routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, RIP) in a large-scale enterprise setting
- At least 5 years of experience in designing LAN/WAN/Datacenter solutions for extensive enterprises
- CCNA, CCNP/DP, or CCIE Certification preferred
- Solid understanding of QoS configurations aligned with enterprise standards
- Extensive experience configuring Cisco and Arista Routers and Switches
- In-depth understanding of layer 2 switching protocols including Spanning Tree, Trunking, and Etherchannel
- Comprehensive knowledge of MLAG, EVPN, CVP, Multicast, HSRP, CBWFQ, DSCP, NAT/SNAT, TCP/IP, Ethernet
- Strong understanding of DNS/domain services
- Familiarity with Python, Ansible, and GITHUB is advantageous
- Experience and familiarity with Change control processes, preferably Service Now
- Excellent documentation abilities and verbal communication skills
- Proven capability in creating or updating technical design documentation utilized by engineering teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Visio Professional
- Experience working in an agile setting using Atlassian Jira products
Responsibilities
- Provide consultation on intricate initiatives with significant impact and extensive planning for Network Engineering
- Review and assess complex, multifaceted Network Engineering challenges requiring thorough evaluation of various factors, including intangibles and unprecedented aspects
- Contribute to solving complex, multi-layered issues that require an in-depth understanding of functions, policies, procedures, and compliance needs to achieve deliverables
- Work collaboratively and strategically with client personnel to drive solutions forward
