Requirements
Must:
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or equivalent Linux certification preferred
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or SysOps Administrator certification strongly preferred
- Over 3 years of Linux system administration experience in enterprise settings
- At least 2 years of hands-on AWS experience including EC2, RDS, VPC, IAM, and CloudWatch
- Proficient in infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
- Strong scripting capabilities in Bash, Python, or similar languages
- Knowledge of secure cloud architectures and compliance frameworks like FedRAMP and FISMA
- Current government security clearance required
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain ServiceNow MID servers on Linux platforms for future Discovery and integration tasks
- Administer Linux server infrastructure, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS, or Ubuntu systems for ServiceNow support
- Set up and manage AWS infrastructure components like EC2 instances, RDS databases, VPCs, security groups, and networking for cloud-based ServiceNow resources
- Execute system hardening, patching, and security configurations conforming to federal security baselines (STIGs, CIS benchmarks)
- Monitor system performance, capacity, and availability, while troubleshooting any Linux-level issues affecting ServiceNow operations
- Automate deployment and configuration management using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or CloudFormation
- Oversee backup and disaster recovery strategies for MID servers and associated infrastructure components
- Collaborate with network and security teams regarding firewall rules, routing, and connectivity stipulations across enclaves
- Maintain comprehensive documentation including architecture diagrams, runbooks, and configuration management databases
Description
We are seeking a skilled Linux Administrator to join our Space Ground Systems Engineering team in Scottsdale, Arizona. This position is a contract-to-permanent role with a competitive salary ranging from $68 to $72 per hour, during standard working hours of 9 AM to 5 PM.
