Requirements
Must:
- Over 8 years of experience in Network Engineering, Visibility Architecture, or Network Security.
- Strong proficiency in Linux administration (RHEL, CentOS, or Ubuntu) and TCP/IP networking.
- Demonstrated expertise with orchestration tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Salt, or Puppet.
- Capable of scripting in Python or Bash for automation and tooling.
- Preferred experience with optimizing Security Onion, Zeek, Suricata, or Snort.
- Proficient in data analysis using platforms like Splunk, Kibana, or Graylog.
- Familiarity with Docker, Git, and network packet analysis tools such as Wireshark.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy modern, scalable configuration management and orchestration solutions.
- Establish engineering standards and guidelines for the Network Security Monitoring (NSM) platform.
- Assess the current architecture for potential risks and implement comprehensive security enhancements.
- Facilitate architectural design reviews to guarantee systems adhere to high reliability and operability criteria.

We invite you to be part of our Cyber Fusion Center at a Fortune 50 retailer located in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. In this contract position, you will engage with our software and security engineers to develop and enhance our enterprise security solutions, protecting a vast global network with advanced visibility technologies. The role offers a competitive hourly rate of $84 to $89 and a standard work schedule from 8 am to 5 pm. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, short-term disability, and a 401K plan, all contingent upon eligibility.
