Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field
- Proven experience in data center management
- Hands-on skills with cabling, power distribution, and rack installation
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and system diagnostics
- Knowledge in disaster recovery strategies
- Up-to-date understanding of security and networking best practices
- Experience with installing and configuring Windows, Ubuntu, and CentOS operating systems via WDSSCCM PXE server and USB
- Familiarity with managing virtual machine clusters
- Understanding of lab management and safety standards
- Experience coordinating logistics for equipment shipping and inventory management
- Basic knowledge of PowerShell scripting is a plus
- Skills in designing and implementing network solutions and optimizing existing networks
- Ability to procure and install network equipment
- Experience in maintaining network components such as VPNs, firewalls, routers, and switches
- Skills in configuring firewalls and switches for efficiency and security
- Capable of monitoring and troubleshooting network performance
- Proficiency in managing scheduled upgrades and diagnosing network faults
- Experience in updating network equipment with the latest firmware releases
- Mandatory expertise in Azure Infrastructure Services
Responsibilities
- Manage data center operations effectively
- Oversee cabling and power distribution infrastructure
- Diagnose and troubleshoot systems and technical issues
- Execute disaster recovery protocols
- Stay informed on security and networking practices to enhance system protections
- Install and configure operating systems on various platforms
- Set up and maintain a cluster of virtual machine hosts
- Ensure lab environments adhere to safety regulations
- Maintain test racks and equipment within the lab settings
- Coordinate with logistics for the shipping of necessary equipment
- Support lab operations through shipping, receiving, and inventory management
- Design and implement new network solutions or enhance current setups
- Procure and manage the installation of network equipment
- Install and maintain network hardware and software components
- Configure network devices to optimize performance and security
- Monitor and troubleshoot network efficiency
- Schedule and execute planned upgrades
- Investigate and resolve network issues
- Regularly update network devices with firmware from leading vendors
