Requirements
Must:
- A Bachelors degree in Software Engineering, or a related field in Science, Engineering, Technology, or Mathematics.
- Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience, or a Masters degree with at least 6 months of relevant experience.
- Preferably experienced in Agile methodologies.
- Proficient in object-oriented programming and scripting with Python.
- Familiar with hardware/software integration testing methodologies.
- Comfortable using test equipment such as signal analyzers, signal generators, and USRPs.
- Ability to thrive in a swift, rapid-prototyping environment and adapt to changes efficiently.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills to interact frequently with managers and project teams across the organization, including external clients and vendors.
- Experience in software testing and debugging is advantageous.
- Background in defense or aerospace sectors is a plus.
- A collaborative mindset, demonstrating a commitment to team success and personal accountability.
- Willingness to quickly learn and adjust to new information and increasing responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform integration and testing on software-defined hardware solutions.
- Diagnose and fix software issues identified during integration and testing by collaborating with hardware and software engineers.
- Adhere to established best practices for test automation, continuous integration, and reporting.
- Assist in the creation of automated test scripts using Python 3.9+.
- Organize integration tasks among hardware, firmware, and software teams.
- Support AGILE processes and methodologies.
- Help maintain configuration management documentation and procedures for software releases and deliveries.
- Keep thorough records of testing activities and outcomes.
Description
We are seeking a Junior Software Integration & Test Engineer to join our Land & Air Systems Engineering Team located in Scottsdale, Arizona. This role is a contract-to-permanent position that offers competitive hourly compensation between $45 and $47, with working hours from 9 AM to 5 PM.
